Danjing Hua is a partner in Dacheng’s Shanghai office and is admitted to practise in the People’s Republic of China and the State of New York.
Ms Hua serves on the estate-administrator expert panel of the Shanghai Zhangjiang Notary Public Office. She focuses on wealth protection and succession in an international context and has experience in cross-border divorce and succession disputes involving entrepreneurs and other high-net-worth individuals, as well as company-law disputes concerning corporate control.
Her corporate-control experience includes a series of commercial disputes between blood relatives and relatives by marriage following the unexpected death of a company controller, as well as criminal-law issues involving numerous company shareholders. Her family-law experience includes high-value cross-border matters involving global matrimonial-asset due diligence; acquisitions of offshore shell companies by Mainland-listed companies; transactions in listed-company shell resources and the actual consideration for equity transfers; nominee-shareholder status; suspected bigamy or tax offences involving entrepreneurs; complex government-business relationships; and conflicts of private international law. In private wealth, she advises on cross-border matrimonial and succession arrangements, top-level equity-succession structures informed by corporate governance and residence planning, and the use of wills, insurance and trusts.
Ms Hua contributed to the Wolters Kluwer series Legal Risks in Equity Inheritance Litigation: A Detailed Review Based on Data and Leading Cases, which is expected to be published as an e-book and addresses practical approaches to equity-succession and related corporate-control disputes.
